Welcome to Palm Middle School!
I am honored to welcome you to our school community—a place where students are encouraged to grow academically, socially, and emotionally in a safe and supportive environment. At Palm, we are proud of our dedicated teachers and staff who are committed to providing an engaging learning environment for all students.
Middle school is a time of great transition and discovery. Our goal is to help students develop a love for learning, build strong character, and prepare for success in high school and beyond. At Palm Middle school we strive to be creative and innovative in our approaches to teaching. We seek to engage students in their learning through STEAM activities, applications of technology, and 21st Century skills that are needed in order to succeed in today’s world. Creativity, collaboration, communication, and critical thinking are the 4 C’s of the 21st Century. These skills empower our students to become real-world problem solvers, and prepare them to be successful in their future careers and workplace.
The Puma family believes in the importance of community and belonging. I encourage you to get involved in our parent groups such as School Site Council (SSC), African American Parent Advisory Council (AAPAC), or English Learners Advisory Council (ELAC). Join us as we collaborate towards the growth and success of your child's education.

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. I am Mr. Osonduagwuike, Assistant Principal for this school year! My passion for education and student success has been shaped by 25 years of educational experience as an elementary school teacher and secondary administrator. I look forward to supporting all stakeholders as we, with compassionate: collaborate, create, communicate, and critically think about how to enrich the lives of our students for the 21st Century. “A dream doesn’t become reality through magic: it takes sweat, determination and hard work” – Colin Powell.

Hello Pumas,
I am proud to be the Assistant Principal at Palm Middle School. I am responsible for providing instructional leadership to ensure all students are provided a challenging core curriculum and meet state and district standards and expectations. I support our categorical programs, CAASPP administration, and staff professional development. I encourage all parents to participate in groups such as School Site Council, ELAC, AAPAC, SEPAC, and PTSA so that your voices can be heard.
Prior to beginning this position, I spent five years as a Professional Development Specialist, serving as the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program Coordinator at Vista Heights Middle School. I taught 8th grade Social Studies for 18 years and served as the District History Day Coordinator.
I hold a Bachelor's degree from the University of California San Diego (B.A. in History, Minors in Philosophy and Political Science), teaching credential from San Diego State University, and Masters in Education (Instructional Technology) from California State University San Bernardino. My husband Clement Young taught second grade at North Ridge Elementary for 24 years. Our son graduated from California State University Channel Islands, with a B.A. in Studio Art: Graphic Design.
I am excited to work in partnership with Dr. Reynolds, Dr. Osonduagwuike, teachers, staff, and parents to ensure our students have positive middle school experience. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
