Drill Team
Palm Middle School Dance/Drill team is made up of an amazing group of girls
who work hard all year round to make their team a success.

Tryouts are held every May and practice begins in June to prepare for camp where we bond as a team, build friendships and perform for judges for the very first time.

From our large Military team we create small teams:  Song Pom, Jazz, Lyrical, Hip Hop and an Officer routine.

Competition

Our competition season runs January-April, culminating in Las Vegas Nationals, where last year we took home the title of National Champion!

We are a competition team, but competing is only part of what we do. All year long the team practices 2-3 days a week.  The girls are required to carry good grades, expected to promote school spirit, and set a good example by being leaders and positive role models for their peers.  We also perform at Back to School Night and Open House.

Community Service

Drill Team is also involved in community service.  We cheer on runners at the Disney 1/2 Marathon, write letters to military men and women thanking them for their service, participate in the S.G. Komen Race for the Cure raising funds and promoting breast cancer awareness, decorate Rose Parade floats, and perform at the Relay for Life at Valley View High School.

Camaraderie

In our spare time we have sleepovers, take a trip to Disneyland, and enjoy team parties.  We also raise funds for all this fun by participating in fun fundraisers like going to an Inland Empire 66ers Baseball game, serving pancake breakfasts at Applebee's and getting wet washing cars.
